House System
AGSB House System
The AGSB House System was reintroduced to AGSB in the Summer Term 2019.
All pupils and members of staff are assigned to one of four Houses: Tatton, Stamford, Bradbury or Massey. Each House is managed by a member of staff and within each year group, elected house leaders and deputy leaders will organise events and house activities. In addition to this each House has a House Captain and Deputy House Captain in Year 13 who act as student leaders within their respective Houses and help coordinate House assemblies. See an example timetable of the activities our students undertake to gain valuable points for their House.
The House System is intended to build a sense of community between large groups of students and to foster a culture of leadership, teamwork, resilience and accountability across students in the school. The whole-school nature of the House System breaks down year and form divisions allowing pupils to forge bonds with students from other year groups and social groups that they may not interact with in other aspects of school life.
These interactions, along with House-based activities, help engender a shared sense of identity and create a feeling of association between students. Furthermore, by assigning siblings to the same house and making the House System a central part of the school community, students develop a sense of attachment to both their House and the House System as a whole.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find the funds to support such activities, but they are crucial to the fabric of AGSB. Our House Sponsors below secures this provision, not only stimulating the qualities described above but also providing lots of fun.

We are extremely proud of our heritage and association with many of the UK and Ireland's independent, private and fee paying schools. Our customers span the full spectrum from their first day, right through their school life. Our ethos is to produce food made using the freshest, most seasonal ingredients we can buy, from sustainable accredited sources. We offer menus which have at their core the seasonal ingredients available at the time. It’s only by listening very closely to a client’s needs and expectations that we can make sure pupils are happy. We are sure that AGSB’s house system, and in particular, Tatton house, will come to celebrate this ethos.
