MUSIC LESSONS

Here at AGSB we have a very strong tradition of excellence in Music and there are many ways in which your son can get involved. Further details are available here. 

As part of the Music Curriculum at AGSB, every student in Year 7 and 8 will have the opportunity to play a musical instrument as part of their normal class music lesson.

Students who already play a band or orchestral instrument to a competent standard are placed in the class ensemble to learn pieces that are more challenging. Students with basic or no prior experience will be placed into either the Concert Band or Orchestra programme. Allocation to ensemble and instrument is dependent on timetable placement, instrument availability and careful consideration from our Music staff.
