FAQs for students currently enroled at AGSB

When will results be available?

Your results will be available to collect from 8:00am until 11:30am in the Coleman Hall. If you have already nominated someone to collect your results on your behalf, they should go to the Coleman Hall and will need to show some form of photo ID (e.g. passport or driving licence). The final deadline for nominating someone to collect results (a special collection) on your behalf was 3:30pm on Monday 8th July, as previously explained. If you require a special collection you must contact the examination office by this time (phowell@agsb.co.uk).

How do I confirm my position in the Sixth Form?

If you have met the admissions criteria and were offered a place in our Sixth Form then you still need to confirm your place with us. An online Office365 form will be sent to you at 8:00am on results day. This will need to be completed by 12:00pm on results day to confirm your place. In order to complete the form, you need to be logged in to your school Office 365 account. You can do this on your mobile device. However, you must read the enrolment booklet and confirm that you agree to its contents.

What if I have decided to study elsewhere or am not sure about where to study?

If you have decided to study elsewhere then we wish you the best of luck and hope that you have enjoyed your time at AGSB. You must still confirm your decision by completing the Office365 form so that we can allocate your place to an external student. If you want some advice on alternative destinations, please contact Mr Murray in person or by email so he can discuss different options with you and/or your parents.

What if I have changed my mind on the subjects that I wish to study or have not met the minimum grade requirement of a 6 to study a particular subject?

If you wish to change up to 2 of your options, then you can indicate this on the Office 365 enrolment form. This should be completed by 12:00pm on results day. We are generally able to accommodate all requests for subject changes, but there may be occasions when this is not possible. If we cannot accommodate your subject change request, we will contact you by email. Changes will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you need to make subject change requests at a later date, you must complete a form which will be available from Mr Murray at the start of term, and we will see if this is possible. Requests via email will not be accepted.

If you wish to discuss your subject choices, please see one of the Sixth Form team who will be available in the Coleman Hall throughout the results day morning.

Head of Sixth Form
