Biology Trip to Orlando Florida

This event will take place on 28/03/2024 until 03/04/2024

This trip has a packed itinerary full of educational opportunities related to Biology as well as entertainment at world renowned Theme Parks. Pupils will experience a wide range of activities from an opportunity to swim with manatees and sampling for marine organisms in the Gulf of Mexico to enjoying the thrills of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Studios. 

 

ITINERARY

 

Swimming with Manatees.  A unique experience, and an option to join a small group snorkelling adventure with these gentle creatures.

 

MOTE Aquarium visit.   A trip to this aquarium and rescue centre based in beautiful Sarasota Bay to learn about Marine Biology and conservation. The day will include a tour of the aquarium and the opportunity to see Manatees. We will visit the Gulf of Mexico and pupils will sample for marine organisms. This is followed by a workshop on Marine CSI - analyzing a mystery skeleton, discovering animal adaptations, biology and osteology along the way. 

 

2 days at Disney:

  • Participation in Educational Programme at Disney's EPCOT Centre.  A theme park with a scientific focus including Future World, which features technological innovations.  Students will explore themes closely linked to the GCSE such as hydroponics and tissue culture and how these are used to help with sustainable production of food. 
  • Animal Kingdom. Pupils encounter exotic animals and exciting adventures at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, one of the largest animal theme parks in the world. Home to more than 2,000 animals across 300 species and a range of fantastic rides, musical theatre shows and 4D cinema experiences.

 

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. A day of fun at this renowned them park which includes world class rollercoasters, movie sets and characters as well as the magical experience in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ - Diagon Alley™ and a trip on the Hogwarts™ Express!
