Following the excellent A Level grades last week, AGSB is today celebrating a first-rate set of grades at GCSE.

• Average points score was over 7.6
• 34 students achieved 8 or 9s in their GCSEs
• 88 students achieved all grade 7, 8 or 9 across their GCSEs
• Eight students managed the incredibly challenging feat of 10 or more grade 9s.

Head Master Graeme Wright said:

“Across a year group of over 200 students, it is fantastic to see that 60% of all exams were graded at 8 or 9 and 35% at the highest grade 9. These results are a real credit to the hard work and commitment of our students, and I would like to congratulate them and their families. "My thanks also go to our teachers, whose expertise and dedication have supported the pupils so successfully.”

He added:

“I wish all of our Year 11 students every success as they move on to the Sixth Form and beyond. Well done, and many congratulations!”

Students at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys are celebrating today after achieving an exceptional set of A Level results that reflect their hard work, resilience, and ambition.

An impressive 58% of all A Levels were awarded the top A*/A grades, with nearly a quarter of results at the coveted A* grade. The average grade across the cohort was an A.

Amongst the standout achievements:

• 12 students achieved a clean sweep of A* grades.
• 73 students (36% of the year group) earned A*/A grades in all their subjects.

Head Master Graeme Wright praised the achievements of this year’s leavers:

“Our Year 13s are an incredibly talented cohort who have achieved so much, both in the classroom and beyond. They’ve led by example and inspired younger pupils with their positivity and determination. These results are a testament to our students’ dedication, resilience, and passion for learning. They are now set to progress to some of the top universities and competitive courses across the country. "I congratulate each of them on their success and thank our outstanding staff for their tireless commitment and support throughout the year.”

Results will be available from the Coleman Hall from 8am.

Year 12 student Tosin A will be 'Head Prefect' and we wish him all the very best in this prestigious role.

Congratulations also to those students appointed to the wider Senior Prefect Team as House and Deputy House Captains: Ollie F, Leo MP, Bhuvan V, Leo B, Leo W, Steven O, Kavi G and Marley I.

We would like to express our heartfelt congratulations to each and every student who has been successful in this competitive process. We are confident that they will make a positive impact on our school community in their new leadership roles.

Thanks also go to our outgoing team who have led with integrity, empathy, and enthusiasm. They have served as exceptional role models, guiding and inspiring their peers while upholding the school’s values and standards.

The evening was filled with energy, creativity, and outstanding performances. Each production (Monologue, Duologue and Musical Theatre Performance) was testament to the talent, dedication and enthusiasm of our students.

Offers of places for Year 7 at this school are coordinated between Home Local Authorities. They will notify parents/carers of the secondary school their child has been allocated on National Offer Day (3rd March). Should you receive an offer of a place at this school from your Local Authority please follow their instructions to accept or decline the place no later than their closing date to do so.   

School will send out further information regarding offers and induction by email to parents/carers by 4^th March. Please check your spam/junk folders before contacting school.
