Human fieldwork: Tuesday 14^th January 2026  

The department will take your son to Ancoats, Manchester, to investigate sustainability and urban regeneration in January.  The trip will help to consolidate his understanding of the Changing Cities unit and will be carried out within the usual school day (register at 08:40 as normal and return by 15:20).  We will travel by Metrolink to New Islington and walk to Ancoats.  For the return journey, your son can either return to Altrincham or he can get off the tram earlier – only if it is more convenient for where you live.
