Pupil Premium

Welcome

At AGSB, we are committed to welcoming, nurturing and empowering all students to succeed. We use our Pupil Premium funding to ensure that students from less advantaged backgrounds are supported to achieve their very best and to remove any barriers to learning that they may face. We are also committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in the rich extra-curricular life of the school, so that they develop the right values and character to aid their long-term success.

What is Pupil Premium funding?

The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It’s designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better and close the gap between them and their peers. At AGSB, we are committed to helping our students achieve results in line with all students nationally and to close the in-school attainment gap. We are also committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in the rich extra-curricular life of the school so that they develop the right values and character to aid their long-term success. Pupil Premium funding is used to further these aims.

How do we use Pupil Premium funding?

The Pupil Premium is used to provide a wide range of academic, extra-curricular and pastoral support at AGSB. Full details on how we have used Pupil Premium in the previous academic year and how we plan to use it this year can be found in our Pupil Premium Strategy on this page.
