Congratulations to all boys currently in Year 10 on their great success in the Key stage 3 results tables which were finally published a few weeks ago. Due to theirvery strong collective performance in English, Maths and Science tests in May 2007 they achieved the best results of all schools in the North West and were placed 10th in the country. Whilst we should be cautious about KS3 results and tables because they do not always give a full picture, what these results do demonstrate is the potential of the students. Year 9 students currently preparing for their tests in May should aim to emulate this achievement. In addition, Year 10 students who have just finished their Year 10 exams need to aim very high when they consider their targets for the GCSE examinations in 2009. Parents of boys in Year 10 should also consider that thei sons will betaking some parts of their GCSE exams (in maths, Science and Languages) this summer!
