Chess
The tradition of playing chess at the AGSB goes back to 1912. We play in the Manchester and District Chess league at under-18 and under-14 levels. This year the number of participating schools has done down to five teams. We play them both home and away.
UK Senior Maths Challenge (UKSMT)
Congratulations to our UK Maths Challenge Team who won the North West round of this very tough competition last week fiercely fighting off 26 other schools. We wish Will Deeley (Year 8), Tengo Meskhi (Year 8), James Humphries (Year 9) and Dennis Wang (Year 9) every success in the national finals which take place in London in June.
