EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
(a) G.C.S.E. ( A.Q.A. syllabus A, Option T)
(b) Edexcel Modular 'A' levels
Mathematics - C1, C2, C3, C4, S1, M1.
Further Maths - FP1, FP2, M2, M3, D1, S2.
LESSON TIME ALLOCATED (per two week rotation)
One hour per lesson
Year 7 six lessons (including one lesson of Maths for ICT)
Year 8 six lessons (including one lesson of Maths for ICT)
Year 9 six lessons
Year 10 six lessons
Year 11 five lessons
Years 12 and 13 ten lessons per subject
ABILITY GROUPING OF PUPILS
Year 7 mixed
Year 8 banded into 8 sets
Year 9 banded into 8 sets - All sets take level 6-8 KS3
Year10 seven sets
Year 11 six sets (five sets at the Higher level, one set at the Intermediate level; until 2007, then all sets will take higher level)
Years 12 has three Maths sets and one Further Maths set
Years 13 has two Maths sets and one Further Maths set
