The A2
coursework will be done on a compulsory one week trip to Betws-y-Coed in
Wales. Here candidates will study Freshwater Ecology, Woodland Ecology and
Sand Dune Ecology (a day at the beach) as well as receive advice on
coursework.
Various techniques will be used, these will involve kick-sampling, quadrats
and line transects. Students will also learn that nothing is more fun than
counting percentage cover of crustose lichen on an Oak tree.
