The Library provides an environment to enable students to read widely, study quietly, and develop confident, discerning users of a wide range of information sources that are available today.

N.B the stock is continually updated to reflect current needs.

6th Form may use the library for private study unless a class has been booked in.

 

Activities

 

Arrow2 Homework Club - mose evenings after school, where pupils can complete their homework.

Arrow2 Lost the Plot (reading group). Meets Wednesday lunchtime, B week to discuss books, reading and the meaning of life!

Arrow2 Participate in the "Kids Lit Quiz" a national competition on children's literature

Arrow2 Various quizzes and competition troughout the year.

 

The Library Team

 

The Librarian, Mrs. J. Clarke is assisted, in running the library, by a team of enthusiastic Student Librarians from all year groups and 6th Form Prefects.

 

Careers Library

 

Available to students is a well stocked careers library. Materials include prospectus from most Universities and comprehensive information about jpbs and futute careers.

We also have the services of two Connections advisors who see students on a regular basis.

A usefull link: www.connexions-trafford.co.uk. This is a young person's service which provide advice, information, guidance, support and personal development for all 13-19 year old in Trafford.
