Member of staff to run the Paris marathon!

 

 

As you may already be aware Mr Alcock is running the Paris Marathon in April. He has always intended to one before he's 30 and although his rugged good looks make him appear much older he still has a few months left in order to realise this ambition!
So far he has ran over 280 miles in preparation (with many many more to come!), seen two foxes, got a big blister, chafed like you wouldn't want to know, ran in snow and slid on ice, sat in an ice bath and nearly cried, and generally ached a lot!

In addition a team of Year 9 runners will be raising money and promoting an awareness of Healthy Lifestyles by completing their own 'Marathon' over several weeks.
Mr Alcock is running for the British Heart Foundation; this is a charity that is personally very important to him and does a lot of fantastic work through pioneering research, providing vital information to help people reduce their own heart health risks, campaigning for change and supporting and caring for heart patients.
