Sixth Form

2010 Update -- Applications to our Sixth Form have been taken since last November. It is very unlikely that we will be able to offer further places. External Applicants who have not been offered a place have been advised to contact us on Results Day with their details including their GCSE results and UCI number.

New enquiries will be noted and applicants will also need to tell us their GCSE results and the 4 subjects that they would like to study at AS. In the unlikely event that a place becomes available we will then review all enquiries and previous applications and contact you. --

Our Sixth Form Open Evening takes place each November. At this point the revised prospectus and application forms become available. Please note, entry by external candidates is only possible at the start of Year 12. We do not accept students who wish to re-sit Year 12  or who wish to transfer course or at the start of Year 13.  

Ideally external applications should be sent to us before Easter - and we follow up an application by requesting a reference from the current school.

Once we have completed the timetable process for our current students moving into Year12, we know  how many offers can be made to external candidates. Offer letters are then sent out to external candidates. We are only ever able to over a handful of places at this stage. We do however keep details of students we have been unable to accommodate and aim to review again if places become available once results are known in August.

The Sixth Form Office is independent from the admission office and all enquiries relating to admissions to the Sixth Form should be made to Mrs Richardson, our Admissions Officer.
